On the other hand, Music without music videos will still continue to go strong outside the commercial spectrums, for example: There wont be a time when Scratch DJ's no longer scratch music without video, neither will there be a time when the VJ'ing industry crashes and burns due to DJ's replacing them with Music Video mixing. Music Videos are a great addition in some venues, or for some nights/events, not just "some" but many. Trust me when I say: Me doing music videos here would be a step back from what the VJ is already offering, I dare say that the odd music video while he goes to the gents would be of benefit (but that's not switching to music videos). The club where I DJ has been doing Video for over ten years, they employ a guy called a "VJ" and he works the screens with all kinds of stuff whilst I mix the music, then there's a guy on the lights.

Personally, I could care less if you do video or not. Seen a jukebox dealer lately? My club was the first Gentleman's club in NJ, to use a DJ, now every club uses DJs. The jukebox dealer said the same thing about DJs, "No one in my area is using DJs".
You might still be standing around talking about how great your skills are, but no ones listening. After a few more calls like that, you will say to yourself, "Damn, I should have gotten into video earlier". Then you will get your first call to do video, and will have to tell the client, "I'm sorry but I don't do video", click. The next thing you know, more and more DJs will offer video, in your area. You will still be standing around talking about how great your skills are. Someone just a little smarter and with a little more foresight, will be the first in your area to do video.
No it does not make you ignorant, just a little slow. Where i dj we do not use video too much mostly moble dj use video where i dj i hope that does not make us ignorant
